Practice Areas
Mike is licensed to practice law in both Mississippi and Louisiana. His practice concentrates on casualty, automobile liability, premises liability, Workers' Compensation, commercial litigation, timber and federal practice. He has handled state litigation in circuit and county courts in Mississippi; district and parish courts in Louisiana; and city, justice of the peace and administrative/workers' compensation courts in both states. He has litigated cases in the Federal Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi; and the Eastern and Middle Districts of Louisiana. He has handled appeals in each of the Courts of Appeal for Louisiana, the Louisiana Supreme Court and the United States Supreme Court.
Mike has litigated cases involving the following issues:
automobile liability and insurance coverage issues including accident reconstruction, biomechanics, traffic controls, UM/UIM coverage, permissive use and excluded drivers
premises liability and insurance coverage issues including slip and fall, ceiling collapse, defective/failed railings and stairways, swimming pools, manufacturing equipment, landlord/lessee liability, animal bites, construction work product exclusions, borrowed servant, statutory employer and lack of accident or occurrence coverage questions
Workers compensation issues including course and scope of employment, medical causation, functional capacity, vocational rehabilitation and offsets
medical causation including injuries to the head, brain, spine, shoulders, arm, wrist, hand, hips, legs, knees, ankles, feet, fibromyalgia and various mental illnesses
